Website redesign

Z Stone
Masonry

A new site for Z Stone

My friends, Zach Johnson and John Engelland construct beautiful patios, walls, fireplaces, and all types of custom stonework. They are well-respected artisans in the masonry trade in Colorado and beyond.

Lucky for me, John and Zach realized that their old website was no longer meeting their needs. It was years out-of-date with no search engine optimization or mobile responsiveness. It had to go!

I am honored to have had the opportunity to redesign their original site. ZStone.net is reborn. I created a fresh new look!

Website redesign

Working closely together on the text and messaging, John and Zach created an outline based on an Elementor kit. The kit provided a lean outline to contain carefully sculpted text which I placed onto the pages. This method was efficient and the results are good.

There were wonderful essays and commentary on the original Z Stone site that we refreshed and republished on the blog of the sacred space site, risingstar.world.

Here on Z Stone, you will see an artful blend of colors and lichen-kissed textures that yield a beautiful result in these installations.

Lyons red sandstone, New Mexican sandstone, Colorado buff sandstone, boulders, Pennsylvania blue stone, Tennessee grey sandstone, Mexican Onyx, Colorado Yule marble, black granite, river boulders, fieldstone.

Z Stone’s craftsmanship speaks for itself.

Whether they are building a wall to stand the test of time or a deep, cool, quiet meditation chamber, John and Zach’s unique combination of strength, tenderness, and humility is just so striking to me.

Having worked with John and Zach previously on RisingStar.world, I am deeply familiar with their approach. They see beauty in the smallest detail and bring a joyful, gritty, grounded perspective to their craft.

My contribution to Z Stone

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

Shift perspective

Without a doubt, my role was:
• to listen, read, internalize Zach & John's intention and perspective
• to help externalize their inner creative process
• to encourage and support them in their new endeavor

PROJECT COORDINATION

Lush imagery

• I carefully selected distinctive imagery to present the highest quality workmanship, refined beauty.
• My gentle prodding kept the project focused because after a day of physical labor, it can be hard to change gears to think about website development.

What I offer
– My Gifts –

I love what I do!

• Without reservation, my admiration for John and Zach is off-the-charts. I love to work with them.
• It is satisfying to me to polish copy and refine it into quality content.
• I thrive with creative collaboration.
